HPV vaccine

• The HPV vaccine is a vaccine used to prevent human papillomavirus (HPV) infection which can cause cervical, vulvar, vaginal and anal cancer . In Indonesia, the HPV vaccine can be given to women aged 9–55 years and men aged 19–26 years.
• The Gardasil vaccine needs to be done 3 (three) times at 0, 2 and 6 months.
• Gardasil 4: Quadrivalent HPV vaccine is indicated for the prevention of disease caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18 and 6 and 11.
• Gardasil 9 : The nonavalent HPV vaccine is indicated for the prevention of disease caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) type. 16, 18, 6, 11, and HPV strains 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58 which also have the potential to cause cervical cancer.
