Do you need a 2D ultrasound?

• Ultrasonography (2D ultrasound) uses sound waves to produce an image of the fetus from outside the body
• When this 2D ultrasound examination is carried out, a transducer or probe will be placed on your stomach to see the condition of the fetus
• 2D ultrasound can accurately show the development of the baby's internal organs
• 2D ultrasound and 3D ultrasound should be done routinely during pregnancy to see the health of the fetus

What is the difference between 2D ultrasound and 3D/4D ultrasound?

• 2D ultrasound produces stationary images that are black and white. Despite that, the level of accuracy remains high.
• Whereas 3D ultrasound can produce images with clearer visualization, and 4D ultrasound has a video output
